And the fifth gear is a very tall gear necessitating prolonged 4th gear use up to about 55 mph. A couple of things I wish were different: I would really like four-way flashers to be on every bike. It's also nice that since it's a heal and tow shifter that it's large enough for me to actually put my entire size 12 boot on the floorboard between the heel and the toe parts of the shifters - I can't do this with most heel and toe shifters. I particularly like the extremely positive shifter and how it securely clunks into gears. The fir and finish is great and the overall quality seems very good. I average about 40 mpg and it's been totally reliable as I'd expect it to be. Everything fits me well and it feels like "me." I just got that feeling when I sat on it that it should be mine. I got the new leftover about 5 months ago (in 2014) and have put on a. Many of my riding partners had V Stars and Road Stars and I settled on either an ultra-low-mileage used Road Star or a 2012 leftover model. I've had a number of different bikes but wanted to get something simple and comfortable. ![]()
